SKIN CARE REVIEWS

When you’re getting ready to go out for date night or to a big event, you want to look your best, right? You

But sometimes makeup just doesn’t cut it; foundation may hide discoloration and a good primer can blur the look of pores, but what about those deep lines and wrinkles?

What are the Best Skin Care Products of 2021?

It may sound too good to be true, but there’s quite a few Insta Tox reviews from customers swearing that this product really does work.

So does Insta Tox really instantly erase deep lines and wrinkles? To answer this question, we’ll have to evaluate the product formulations, including the key ingredients and the research that supports (or doesn’t support) their use in skin care.

We’ll also share some Insta Tox reviews so that you can get an idea of what customers really think of this product.

Is Serious Skincare Insta Tox Right For You?

  • Cruelty free? Yes
  • Cost? $29 USD for 0.75 oz (22 mL)

What Are The Key Ingredients in Serious Skincare Insta Tox?

Insta Tox provides both instant and long term anti-wrinkle effects. After application, Insta Tox forms a transparent layer on the skin that freezes the look of wrinkles as it dries. This instant anti-wrinkle effect is possible because of two ingredients: sodium silicate and magnesium aluminum silicate.

Sodium SilicateSodium silicate, also known as liquid glass, creates a film that contracts the skin as it dries, creating a temporary lift to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The results are said to last all day. However, as soon as the product is washed off the effect is gone.

One problem with sodium silicate is that it is highly alkaline, which means it has a high pH level. In chemistry, pH stands for “potential hydrogen” and it refers to the level of acidity or alkalinity in a given solution.

The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 is neutral, a pH less than 7 is acidic, and a pH greater than 7 is alkaline. Since the skin’s normal pH is about 5.5, highly alkaline ingredients like sodium silicate can be damaging to the skin.

Magnesium Aluminum SilicateMagnesium aluminum silicate is a naturally occurring mineral that may also be referred to as purified clay. In most skin care products, this ingredient is used to absorb excess facial oil and/or thicken the product’s formula.

However, in a product like Insta Tox, magnesium aluminum silicate increases the wrinkle-filling and plumping action of sodium silicate. If sodium silicate were used alone, there would not be as much of a “fill” within the wrinkle to lift and smooth it.

Magnesium aluminum silicate adds bulk to the wrinkle while sodium silicate lifts the wrinkle. The end result is an instantly smoothed wrinkle. However, keep in mind that these ingredients produce temporary results, lasting only several hours or until the product is washed off.

Sepitonic M3.0We noticed that Insta Tox includes three mineral ingredients — Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, and Copper Gluconate — which are known as Sepitonic M3.

This multimineral active optimizes cellular respiration to stimulate energy (ATP) and metabolic (DNA proteins) mediators. It’s an active ingredient booster, and also has a radical scavenging effect to inhibit cellular free radical formation.

Retinyl PalmitateThe Insta Tox formula includes retinyl palmitate, an ingredient composed of palmitic acid and retinol (Vitamin A). After being absorbed into the skin, retinyl palmitate must be converted to retinol and then to retinoic acid in order to provide any benefit.

Retinoic acid works deep within the skin where it boosts collagen synthesis, increases elasticity, and repairs connective tissue. It also increases cellular turnover, which helps to prevent clogged pores and also promotes smoother, healthier skin.

Unfortunately, retinyl palmitate ranks quite high on the Environmental Working Group’s (EWG’s) Cosmetic Database. Here’s why: Data from an FDA study indicates that retinyl palmitate, when applied to the skin in the presence of sunlight, may speed the development of skin tumors and lesions.

While one study doesn’t indicate a causational link, it’s still something to keep in mind,

Sodium HyaluronateThe final key ingredient that we’d like to highlight in Serious Skincare Insta Tox is sodium hyaluronate, the sodium salt form of hyaluronic acid.

Sodium hyaluronate and hyaluronic acid are basically the same and the two names are used interchangeably in the skin care industry. The main differences are that sodium hyaluronate is more stable, easier to formulate, and cheaper. That’s why it is common to see sodium hyaluronate on an ingredient list even though the product name might say hyaluronic acid.

Once applied to the skin, sodium hyaluronate provides the same benefits of hyaluronic acid. Those benefits include improved skin hydration, as well as a more plump complexion with fewer lines and wrinkles.

Therefore, we turned to Google to find Insta Tox reviews. At the time of writing this review, Insta Tox has earned an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars after more than 100 customer reviews.

There are many 5-star reviews for Serious Skincare Insta Tox from customers who love that it smoothes wrinkles and under eye bags, and many customers mention that it’s a good value for the price.

For example, one review says, “I have used it for several years, and it never fails to give excellent results. I use it as an under-eye temporary solution to smooth those darn bags. Compared to other products, this works better and is less expensive – you can find products that are priced at $500 to $1,000 – or more. They are a waste of time and money. Insta-Tox is where your search ends.”

And another 5-star review says, “I have been using this product for several years and am very happy with it. It completely smoothes the sags and wrinkles under my eyes. However, you need to apply very little or it leaves a white residue under your eyes. This product really works for me and I would not be without it.”

However, there are a handful of negative reviews for the Serious Skincare Insta Tox from customers who were disappointed that this product didn’t work for them.

For example, one review says, “It did nothing for the wrinkles and left a dry white film where I used it. It looked terrible and I had to wash it off. This was a disappointment and a waste of money.”

Another 1-star review says, “Did not work for the bags under eyes. Does not get rid of the bags in fact it made it worse. When I put it on it made the bags puff up more. Did nothing to take them down. Would not buy or waste my money.”

Our Verdict

Overall, we think that Serious Skincare Insta Tox is a good option if you need to disguise lines and wrinkles for the day, but keep in mind the effects are temporary.

What Are Some Alternatives to Serious Skincare Insta Tox?

If you’re looking for skin care products to address the signs of aging, one brand we recommend is Formulyst. Formulyst maximizes the use of powerful ingredients and minimizes the use of superficial ones, resulting in clinically advanced skin care solutions that help promote healthy, more youthful-looking skin.

For example, Formulyst’s Anti-Aging Concentrate can help to address multiple signs of aging at once. This serum contains natural ingredients like squalane, green tea, vitamin C, and vitamin E, which provide powerful antioxidant activity to protect the skin against environmental free radicals that are known to degrade collagen. In addition, this serum contains Matrixyl 3000, a peptide complex that works to restore and maintain the skin’s youthful appearance by signaling to cells to produce more collagen.

Another brand that balances the power of plants with cutting edge science is Carrot & Stick. Not only is Carrot & Stick good for your skin, it is also good for the environment as the formulas skip harmful chemicals commonly found in skincare products.
